Dad took out his pocket watch."We should leave now to make sure we get to the station on time," he replied.
Mrs. Williams was surprised. "We have plenty of time.That car can travel at 35 miles per hour," she said.
Dad explained, "That's possible on a smooth road, but the road to the train station wasn't made for cars."
Mrs. Williams replied, "If you say so, Mr. Dawson."She winked at me. "I guess we'll take Alice, too. I know how much she likes cars."
