As the game started, the tallest Eagles player jumped up and tipped the ball to Renato.Number 19 tried to get the ball for the Lions, but Renato held on to the ball.Then he scored the first 2 points.
Later in the game, Number 19 had the ball.As he tried to pass it, Renato bumped him.Number 19 shot two easy free throws and scored both of them.
Sonia and Ernesto watched as both teams scored more baskets.Then someone threw the ball.Number 19 and Renato both jumped for it and - CRASH!
They fell to the floor.Both boys stood up slowly, and Renato needed help walking to the bench.
"It looks like Renato is hurt," said Sonia.
"He won t play again today", groaned Ernesto."That's too bad because the Eagles need him."
"The Eagles can still win," said Sonia.
"Not against a team like the Lions," said Ernesto.
The Lions had the ball again.They ran, dribbled, and scored.
"Oh, no!" cried Sonia. "We are going to lose without Renato."
