A few weeks later, Parker was weeding the garden when his neighbor Mrs. Goldstein walked past.

"I didn't know you were interested in gardening, Parker," she said.

Parker straightened up and grinned. "I'm not," he said."I'm interested in earning money so I can buy some inline skates."

Mrs. Goldstein looked over at her own garden."Maybe you should work for me, too," she said."I thought I'd have more time for gardening once I retired,but there's so much to do I seem to have even less time now."

Parker beamed at her. "That would be great," he said."But I'll have to check with my dad first."

Parker went to ask his dad. "That's fine," his dad said."You can do jobs for other people, but only if we know them really well."
