It was another perfect day. The past few weeks had been really amazing.The temperature seemed to hover right around 80 degrees.Just the right amount of rain fell to keep things green.
Frances was having a terrific summer. She was spending a lot of time at the lake hanging out with her friends.They rotated between swimming and sunning.
One day at the lake as Frances and her friends lay out on their towels, it suddenly grew very dark.The lifeguards blew their whistles and told everyone to get out of the water.It looked like they were in for a big storm.And then just as quickly as it grew dark, the sun came back out.
Frances didn't pay much attention to it. She was just happy it was sunny again.
"I can't believe you unplugged the lamp," said Andrew to his little sister."You're not supposed to be playing in here.I hope you weren't touching anything in the tank.I don't want my creatures in the dark." He plugged the lamp back in.
