Alicia smelled something familiar. "Isn't that popcorn?" she asked.
Julie nodded. They got up and followed the smell. It led them to the audio room.They heard talking and laughing and music inside. One of the librarians stood at the door.
"Come in," she said. "We're having a feast."
The girls walked in and saw a crowd gathered around a table.The "feast" consisted of popcorn, bananas, peanut butter, jelly, crackers, and cookies.
"It's the best we could do," said the librarian."We raided the fridge and the vending machines in our break room."
