"Yes, but you have to save money for the things you'll need to make a car," said Dad.
"I'll ask people if they want me to walk their dogs or wash their windows," said Dora."Then I'll save the money for my car."
The next day Dora and Dad went down the street to Mrs. Novo's house."I'm saving money to build a soapbox car for a race next month," said Dora."I can walk your dog or wash your windows for three dollars."
"You can walk my dog after dinner tonight," said Mrs. Novo.
"Thanks!" said Dora. "I'll be here!"
Next Dora and Dad went down the street to Mr. Brigg's house and told him about the race."You can wash the windows on my car," said Mr. Briggs.
"Thanks!" said Dora.Soon Dora had other jobs on the street, and she saved all the money for her car.
At last, Dora had all the money that she needed, and Dad took her to the store."We'll need wood, nails, rods, and wheels to make your car," said Dad.
"What about paint?" asked Dora.Dora decided to buy blue and red paint for her car.
