The Book Sale
Mom works at the town library.
I've exchanged books there every week since I was little.
I've read nearly all the children's books.
Mom says the library has no money to buy any new ones this year.
One day, I was looking for a new book to read at the library.
I couldn't find one.
Then I had an idea.
I raced to the front desk to find Mom.
“People could give us their old books to sell,” I said.
“We would make money.
Then, we could buy some new library books.”
“That's a great idea, Cassie!” exclaimed Mom.
The next day, Mom put a box outside the library.
We put up a sign asking people to give used books for the sale.
