There was someone knocking at my cabin door.
It was Munro, the first mate. "Sorry to wake you, sir, but come up and listen to this."
I went up on deck. Sounds drifted across the water on the wind.Shouts and laughter were coming from the pirates' ship.Some of them began to sing noisily and other voices joined in.
"Drunk!" Munro snorted in disgust. "And they've been like that since midnight."
