Dunlap, Here We Come!
Dunlap, Here We Come! Dunlap, Here We Come! Chapter 1 March 15, 1887-Madison Farm, Mississippi Dear Diary, Ma and Pa have been talking for two weeks about whether or not we should move to Kansas. Ma says the road is too long, and we are too poor. Pa says we will always be poor if we stay here. Jimmy and I don't say anything. But we both listen. I want to leave Madison Farm. I read the flier about Dunlap. It sounds like we could finally be free from debt. We could finally have our own farm.
