"Yum," Prema responded automatically, her mind still on the party.All the ideas and plans that she and Jodie had made came tumbling out as her mother prepared the yogurt drink.She was so excited that she couldn't stop chattering even as Ammu's expression altered from interest to worry.
"And all these girls - they will be wearing their night garments to this … this slumber party?"Ammu said hesitantly, as if she could not believe what she was hearing."And your grandmother is not to be invited, nor your cousins and aunts and uncles?"
